Hi Laura, I have a question. I have a son that is 18 and is thinking about applying for the Disney Career Start program. My question is will he be able to get family members in for free? If he can, how many tickets does he get? Just curious as I would L

Yes he would. You get a maingate pass that gets three people in to the parks for six different days. Now that does not mean that if you don't use the three people you get to keep them. If you only take in one person the other two just go away. I hope this helps you!

I'm here.....!!!

I am finally here!!! Orlando!!! I got in around 8:30pm and my amazing roommate Brynn picked me up from the airport. We are staying at the sunspree until Monday! I am so excited for the dinner tomorrow I can't even believe I get to meet everyone tomorrow! It has been a very long day but I do have to say that my flight was fairly enjoyable based on the fact that I hate flying and it was very smooth and fast! I know that this is the start of an amazing five month experience....

Less than two weeks!

In less than two weeks I will be in Florida!!!! I can't believe it is almost time! I have hardly packed but I have most of my clothes together, now I just have to try not to wear them! I bought space bags the other day and they are basically the best things ever! I love them.

SO I am flying out of Pittsburgh on Saturday August 7 at 6:20 with Airtran. It's a direct flight so I am really happy about that. For anyone that is already down there I can't wait to join you in the magic, and for anyone who is coming after me, I can't wait for you guys to get there so we can all experience this together! As for the dinner on 9/8 I can't wait! It is going to be so exciting to meet everyone and get to hang out before all the mayhem starts up. That's really all I have to say right now!

Once a month!

Okay so every time I blog I say, oh this will never happen again! I will try harder to blog more! and all that and it never happens so until more exciting things start happening I will probably not blog so much. Now there are a few things I would like to update.

First while I was in IL I met three of my amazing roommates! They were awesome and we had a blast. We went to the zoo and out to dinner then to the fanciest Dairy Queen I have ever been to. There were about three plasma screen TVs inside and a fire place inside and out! It was insane. Then we went back to my hotel and hung out for a few hours and it really seems like we will all get along so well!

Second, my parents have now changed the plans on me! They were originally going to drive me down to Florida now I have to fly. This makes me pretty upset. It's not the flying down alone thing because I really don't care about that. It's the fact that they told me about 1 month before we were scheduled to leave and made it seem like it was no big deal. Now I am a huge planner and this really messed with my plans. I have been in a bit of a panic since they told me and I pretty much have everything planned now. My new plans are I am flying from Pittsburgh to Orlando DIRECT!!!(It was only $110 total for my ticket!) On August 7th. I will get there at like 8:30. I am going to check two bags and pray I can fit everything I need for the first week or so. Then my amazing roommate Brynn is picking me up from the airport and I will be staying with her and her mom until the 9th at the Sunspree. After I get my new address my parents are going to ship me things I couldn't fit into my suitcases that I already bought. My best friend's mom works for FedEx so she is going to help my parents out with that. I am so excited to get there and I can't wait!!! Only 30 more days until we check in!!!

Horrible Blogger!!!

So I just want to start by saying I am a horrible blogger! I didn't forget about it, its just there has been so much going on right now, and not a lot of it is Disney related. But for a quick update....

I finished my classes and ended up with a 3.33 so I am happy with that. My mom got out of the hospital after 16 days and is doing so much better. She is still having some problems with her eyes but she really is doing very well. I started my summer class and actually only have one week left. I don't remember if I ever said but it is a fast course that is only 4 weeks long from 9-3 M-Th. So a long time but only for a few days, 15 to be exact. That is going very well so I will hopefully get an A.

I leave on Friday to go to Bloomington/Normal IL and I will be there from the 11-24. I am soooo excited to go because I get to meet three of my roommates!!!! I can not wait to meet them and experience their awesomeness firsthand! We are down to 63 days until Disney, it is all happening sooo fast, I can't even believe it! I still have so much to do before we leave it is crazy and I really only have two months. And one of those is very jam packed right now so that only leaves me with one!

I promise this is going to be much better while I am in Disney, its just that right now not that much is going on. I hope everyone who is down there already is having an AMAZING time and everyone leaving in the next few days have a safe journey and smooth check-in! It seriously astounds me that there are very few check-in days left before it is my turn! Almost all of the FA people are down there and I am the first Fall day! This time is flying by now!

I guess that is all and I will try to update more as we get closer and more things are happening! I also hope to document what happens in meeting some of the roommates! Also me and Brynn are officially roommates, like Disney has documentation of it! I could not be more excited!!!!! As always...

I got 99 problems, but Disney aint one!

So I was going to make a super spectacular 100 days left post but I have been pretty busy so I will at least make a 99 day post.

Alright I officially have made it into double digits and now only have 99 days until I check in at Vista Way! I never thought I would get below 100 and this feels good! This means I will be in Florida in 96 days.

So my mom had been in the hospital since Tuesday morning. She had a stroke that was caused by her high blood pressure but the bleed has stopped and she is doing much better. She never lost consciousness and has always been able to know where she was. Now she is talking the same as she always did so we are very hopeful she will be out by the end of the week.

I didn't go to school at all last week (except Monday) because of this. I have finals starting on Wednesday so I really need to know what is going on in all of my classes before then. I am pretty nervous about my grades right now. I hate finals week, it stresses me out so much! I just want it to be over. By Thursday I will be done with the spring semester! Then the 17th I start summer classes, eww.

Disney is going to be amazing! I can't wait to be there! I wish I was already there and knew where I was working and was in the Florida weather!!!! Oh man I can't wait to be there and meet everyone!

I guess as of right now that is all and I wish I had more to say right now but other than sitting at the hospital, I haven't really been doing anything. My roommate(for Disney) Brynn just showed me this awesome craft that she made me and I can't wait to see it!

I lied...

Well I lied again! I don't mean too but sometimes I don't anticipate things! I said I was going to do the next installment of my A-Z post on Saturday like more than a week ago and I didn't! Sorry about that. My dad had to go to the hospital Saturday and they found out he has diverticulitis so fun times there. He is fine just he was in a lot of pain. So that kind of threw a hitch into the whole plan. Also I have been pretty busy with school. As I am writing this I have a presentation, a take home test, and two java assignments that I should be doing!

So not much is happening in the CP world. I got all of my CP shirts and they are awesome! I bought a shirt, tank top, hoodie, and sweat pants! They all are pretty much wonderful and really are a great quality. If you haven't bought one but are thinking about it, DO IT! lol but seriously they are not selling them for much longer and they really are worth it! Oh also I found out that it is Michelle and Morgan who are selling them so I'm sorry I forgot about Morgan on the last post about them!

Right now I am stressing over where I want to apply for school. As some of you may know, right now I am attending a Community College and will be done after this semester. I have always wanted to go to PITT but I am thinking about trying a few other places also, just to keep my options open. My major is going to be Mechanical Engineering. Right now I am planning on also applying to ASU the Tempe campus. It is really close to my Aunt and Uncle and they said that I could come stay with them! I went to Arizona last year and fell in love with it! It really changed my mind on where I want to go to school! I love my family but the closer it gets to Disney, and the closer it gets to me moving away, the more I feel like I don't think I want to move back. I love them but sometimes I feel that it would be better for me to move away. I am pretty sure it will be hard for my family if I do, but I think I need to branch out! Uhh! If anyone has any ideas on good schools I should look into, leave a comment and I will check them out!

So only 111 days until I check in at Disney! That means only 108 days until I am in the car and on my way to Florida! When it hits 100 days I am going to be freaking out! I found out with 174 days to the arrival! That means I have waited 63 days, good job me!(and everyone else who has been waiting)

Also I am now over 50 subscribers! That is so exciting!!!!! I can't believe 50 people would want to follow my lovely ramblings! I myself follow about 60 blogs and I read every single one of them! Whenever someone new says they just started a blog I almost immediately follow them. I love reading how everyone else is dealing with this!

Well I guess that is all right right now...

Updates

Hey everyone! SO I just wanted to start by restating something I said last week. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all! Seriously don't harass your fellow Disney lovers on Formspring, it's not cool man! The poor kids are just excited and have questions, no need to be rude! Also just saying, if you have something you want to share with them, don't do it anonymously! I had a few rude remarks in mine a few weeks ago and of course there was no name attached. It really doesn't bother me because I have been picked on for as long as I can remember so it really just roles off now. Especially because they are being mean over something so silly! I mean make fun of my weight, okay that hurts but me being excited, stupid! So don't do it to other people either!

Now that that is over I want to say that I am going to be doing the B post of my A-Z probably on Saturday or Sunday depending on what HW I am willing to do this weekend! Right now I am just going to update on some Disney stuff! I keep shopping for Disney and I LOVE it! Every time I buy something it feels more real. I actually have a hard time still believing I am going! I hate getting excited for things and then them not happening. Like I was suppose to go to Italy last May and it fell through! I was so excited for months and then when it didn't happen I was devastated so I don't want to get my hopes up just yet! I know that I am going but I sort of can't believe it yet! I MAY make a vlog abut what I have bought so far but we will see. I love walmart because I can get so much stuff and spend so little. So far I have bought a lamp, a basket, some washcloths, a bed set, more sheets, tupperware, hangers, a towel that you wear like a dress for after a shower and I think that may be all for right now. When I buy more I will most likely make the vlog but I feel like I don't have enough stuff yet! If feels far away and so close all at the same time! I want to start packing but that is silly. All of the stuff I bought sits in the corner of the dinning room all by itself, and I can't play with it! It drives me crazy lol!

So I still need to book my room for the 6th thru the 10th (my family will be there till the 10th). I know that we are going to be staying at the Sunspree across from Vista! So if anyone else is going to be arriving on the 9th but may be there a few days early we are going to be having a pre-dinner on the 8th. Trying something new

First I just want to start this post by saying, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. Formspring is supposed to be a place to go to ask questions and get questions answered. Some people think that it is a fun place to harass your fellow cast members, anonymously. Remember we are all a family, you may not always like everyone in your family, but you shut your mouth and deal with it! It’s a freaking shirt people, leave her alone!

Now moving on, I am going to try something a little new on this post. I have noticed my blog is becoming, well boring, and I don’t like it so I am going to try to do something creative. I am stealing the idea from a few people’s blog but I am making it my own. So I am going to be doing an A-Z post but mine is going to be about influential people in Disney. I have the Official Encyclopedia of Disney A-Z from 1998. It is a little bit old, but these things don’t change. So here goes A

So I picked this guy because what it says about him, I thought people would find this interesting.

Bob Allen started out as a ride operator in Disneyland in 1955. He was promoted to manager for the Celebrity Sports Center in Denver. He later became the director of General Services at Disneyland in 1968 then moving to Disney World in 1970. He became the Vice President of Resorts on January 1, 1977. Here he was promoted to Vice President of Walt Disney World until his death in 1987. He became a Disney Legend in 1996.

So I thought this was so cool because he started out as a ride operator, just like so many of us CM, and became the Vice President of WDW!!! That is pretty awesome. Just goes to show you what can happen when you put your mind to it. Also with a little Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust! Tony Anselmo is an animator that has worked with Disney since 1980. He has worked on projects such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Tarzan and so many more. The really neat thing about him is he was the apprentice to Clarence Nash (the original voice of Donald Duck) for three years. When Clarence Nash died in 1985 he took over and is still the voice of Donald Duck! Tony was inducted into the Disney Legend Hall of Fame in 2009.

Last I picked one of my favorite people from Disney:

Howard Ashman was a lyricist who worked with Alan Menken(who may be my favorite person at Disney besides Walt) on movie such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. He received an Oscar for his work on Beauty and the Beast. Sadly he died before the awards were handed out. He died on March 14, 1991 at the age of 40. He was inducted to the Disney Legend in 2001. Trying to post more!

Hey everyone! First I just want to throw in that I would really like some formspring questions! No pressure though! °o°131 Days!!!!!!!!

Okay so I have officially ordered my CP shirts AND a pair of sweat pants! They are very cute! If you haven't ordered them yet then I would suggest you check them out and think about getting one too! They are made by Michelle and she did an awesome job! Kudos Michelle! I think someone else may have helped too but I am not to sure, if someone knows then post below so they can get some credit too!

This wait seems so long! After spring break I am not to sure if I am going to be able to go back to school. After we had the week long break for snow reasons I didn't want to go back. And now that we are on Spring Break it is too close to the end of the year!

I found a shirt for Traditions! I got it from Lerners (or New York and Company for you people whos mothers don't call everything by their very old name!)! It was only $15 dollars! I am pretty proud of that purchase. Now trying not to wear it for 5 months is going to be hard!

Disney is following me everywhere! I see it everywhere and it makes me need to leave, NOW!!! Well...
